What is the Oconee Alliance?

It may be easier to answer this question by saying what it is not .

The Oconee Alliance is not an alternative for local chambers of commerce. Nor will it replace municipal or county economic development departments or government functions.

In fact for the Oconee Alliance to be successful, its members must be involved in the community fabric, and in other organizations that are working to improve the quality of life in the Golden Corner.

Conversely, all of these individuals and organizations should be connected to the alliance.

The alliance can best be described as a group representing you, your business and your values— planting seeds that germinate to improve our quality of life.

In fact a committee put forward the following mission statement for the Oconee Alliance—“Caring citizens working together to improve life in our community.”
