Tyler joined the Oconee Economic Alliance in 2021 and has a passion for serving his local community and applies that passion in his role with the Oconee Economic Alliance. Tyler assists the OEA’s partners, allies and clients in preparing RFIs for prospective industrial projects. He is responsible for the organization’s business engagement programs, including the Oconee Industrial Group and business visitations. Tyler supports many of the OEA’s research capabilities by providing key demographic data needed for projects. He also assists the OEA in the planning and coordination of events such as the Big Thursday Industry Appreciation Golf Tournament, Holiday Hello and OEA Annual Meeting.
Prior to joining the OEA, Tyler spent two years in the financial services industry; however, his calling for public service was developed while working for SC District 3 Congressman Jeff Duncan from 2014-2019. Starting as a District Representative before being promoted to Regional Director, Tyler worked with a number of private and public entities in the thirteen county district and serving the needs of local citizens.
Tyler is a native to South Carolina. Growing up in Laurens County SC, he attended Anderson University for his undergraduate degree and Clemson University for his MBA. Tyler and his family live in Oconee County, SC and he enjoys hiking Oconee County’s trails, Judging BBQ as a certified master BBQ judge through the South Carolina Barbeque Association, and running 5k fun runs.
